Create from place of connection, purpose, & comfort
In the Sierra Nevada foothills. A working studio, a regenerative farm, and forty-four acres held quietly. Cohorts and private stays. Application only.
Come back to yourself. Then make the art.
Stone House Farms is a 44-acre property in the Sierra Nevada foothills. A working studio. A regenerative farm. A held container for cohorts of 12 to 20 artists you'd actually want to make with — or private stays for a single artist, label, or group.
You arrive Thursday tired. The chef walks from the garden with what's about to be lunch. You sleep in real quiet. By morning two, your shoulders are different. The work shows up.
Inspiration. Comfort. Connection.
Inspiration.
Madrone Studios on-site — Live Room, Vocal Booth, Control Room. The Solarium at 7am, light through the trees, piano untouched yet. Vinyl spinning in the Living Room at midnight. The work finds you here.
Comfort.
A chef-in-residence cooks from the regenerative farm three times a day. Hikes before sessions. Slow meals. Real sleep in real dark. By morning two, your shoulders are different.
Connection.
Sixteen to twenty artists per cohort, hand-curated. The long table on Saturday — twenty plates, hours of conversation. The Sunday listening session — first time the cohort hears what got made together.
Three cohort formats. One kind of weekend.
Every cohort at Stone House Farms shares the same shape — a working studio, a chef cooking from the farm, four days of slowed time. The format flexes by what you're carrying.
The Artist Retreat.
For artists working on their own material with on-site producers and engineers.
The Writing Camp.
For working songwriters and producers. Most camps are publisher-curated.
The Producer Intensive.
For producers and a named guest mentor. Teaching plus one-on-one desk reviews.
Forty-four acres of cedar, pine, and madrone.
A 5,500-square-foot main house with Madrone Studios on-site. The Solarium gets the longest light. The Lake House sits at the property's edge. Glamping along the loop trail. The farm in between. All of it within a few minutes' walk.
Six weekends. Pick yours.
Every weekend is application-only and curated, not headlined. The Producer Intensive announces its guest mentor about 60 days out. We review on a rolling basis and respond within 7 days.
